Grant Funding and Reach

In 2024, Care Camps awarded over $2,000,000 in grants to 117 partner camps—101 in the U.S. and 16 in Canada. These camps served over 41,000 individuals, including children with cancer, their siblings, and parents or caregivers.

This support helped camps provide a variety of programs:

  • Overnight Residential Camps
  • Day Camps
  • Sibling Camps
  • Family Retreats
  • Bereavement Camps
  • In-Hospital Programs
  • Outpatient Clinic Programs
  • Virtual Camps

Additionally, 4,500 “Camp-in-a-Box” kits were delivered, bringing the camp experience directly to children who couldn’t attend in person due to treatment or immunosuppression.

Camper Demographics and Program Types

The report highlights how camps are tailoring services to meet the evolving needs of the families they serve. While residential overnight programs remain the most prevalent, other offerings such as bereavement and sibling support camps have grown in prominence. Camps also reported increasing demand for in-hospital and outpatient programs, showing how important flexibility and accessibility have become.

Financial Overview

The financial section of the report outlines how funds are distributed, with a continued focus on transparency and stewardship. A large portion of revenue comes from corporate partners, individual donors, and fundraising events. The foundation remains committed to ensuring that the vast majority of funding goes directly toward camp grants and program support.
